GMO-Free Pork, Half Pig Deposit: $250 (non-refundable)

Our GMO-free pork comes from pigs raised on silva pasture.  That means they receive the nutrient benefits of both pasture grazing and woodland foraging. As with our chickens and rabbits, our pigs are given no antibiotics, steroids, or hormones.  They do get sunlight, personal attention, opportunities to roll in the mud and do all the other activities pigs were designed to do.

Cost: $6.00 per pound (based on hanging weight).  This includes the butchering and processing fees for fresh cuts only.  $1.00/pound charge for seasonings for sausage and $3.00/pound charge for smoked bacons (ex. smoked bacon & smoked jowl bacon)

The average whole pig hanging weight is 190 lbs. based on a 280 lb. live weight pig. Therefore for a half pig the approximate hanging weight would be approximately 95 lbs. and the approximate physical weight of meat would be about 60-70 lbs. Note: When your deposit is received we will e-mail you with more specific information regarding how you want your meat cut. You can pick from our pre-made cut list or pick your own cuts.  The below is only an example.

7 lbs. Pork Chops OR Boneless Loin Roast (Note: If you get Loin Roast you will get Baby Back Ribs)
1 lb. Pork Tenderloin
4 lbs. Boston Butt Roast
8 lbs. Shoulder Roast
10 lbs. Fresh Ham Roasts
3 lbs. Fresh Ham Hocks
8 lbs. Bacon – fresh, cured or smoked
5 lbs. Ribs
1 lb. Jowl Bacon – fresh, cured or smoked
5 lbs. Bones
3 lbs Organs (heart, liver, kidney)
10 lbs. Misc (tongue, ear, feet, fat, tail)
